How to get your voice heard.

1. Emotional Regulation Line


“I’m feeling a little overwhelmed because these symptoms have been affecting me for a long time—could we slow down for a moment?”


Pauses often shift the dynamic.


2. The Reset Script


“I feel like we may have gotten off track. My main concern is ____. Can we return to this?”


3. The Escalation Script


“I’d like a second opinion, please.”


It is totally within your right to seek a second opinion, you need no justification. 


4. Your Right to Change GP or Speak to Another Clinician


Not all doctors have menopause or POI training. You are allowed to seek someone who does.
